Our Mission

The Open Role Exchange Forum is a vendor-neutral community designed to foster debate and collaboration around the topic of role interoperability. Our mission is to bring the identity management community together, start the dialogue, and begin to define an open, interoperable role model, leveraging both new and existing standards efforts.

Consider this forum as a launching point to gather points of view and build consensus. Our first step will be to agree on the problem scope and a set of targeted use cases. Once we’ve agreed on the basic scope for this effort, our next step will be to create a clear and concise charter for standardizing role exchange.

Once we’ve reached consensus on the charter, our next step will be to submit this to an appropriate IP-free standards organization to develop the specification and foster adoption of this important standards work.

Join the conversation and help make this happen.

Attend the live webcast on July 16th.
